How to Become a Member

​Anyone who lives in Hawaii can become a member of HISCB. Our diverse membership includes students, university faculty, conservation professionals, and community members interested in the conservation of the Hawaiian Islands.
We offer two options to include as many people interested in conservation as possible.

  • HISCB Official Member ($10 - one time registration fee)
  • HISCB Student Member (fees waived, donation optional)

​100% of Membership Funds go towards keeping the Chapter up and running. Our Chapter operates fully on donations, grants and membership dues. 

Donations Welcome. We also accept non-monetary donations in the form of supplies, equipment, in-kind donations, other goods and services. ​
 SCB Global Membership:

​Society for Conservation Biology Hawaii Chapter members are not required to join the global professional society, Society for Conservation Biology (SCB Global).

However, chapters give many SCB Global members an opportunity to stay active in the conservation community and get involved in local conservation issues.
​
If you are interested in joining the global society, we can help with any questions you may have. SCB offers three types of membership; Students and Retirees receive a discounted rate.
Global members can also take advantage of a number of membership benefits including funding.
